We take them for granted and forget to cherish them as well as showing our gratitude to them. We only realize their importance when we lose them. In this calligraphy, the left half portion of the kanji character “常always” is missing which gives a sense that something is out of place. Things that you always see may not be there tomorrow. They may be already missing its half when you realize it. Perhaps your beloved people are leaving from you. Do not forget that your life is mortal. This character with its half missing warns of uncertainty of this world. Everything shifts in every second and moment.
