◎ Single-Minded Prayer ◎

During the Heian period, Nobuchika, the eldest son of Nobukiyo Nakatomi of Kasuga Taisha Shrine,
He was infected with a disease called “Jabumecho” that would kill him within a week.
When my father, Nobukiyo, prayed to the god of Kasuga for salvation,

“The work of retribution for good and evil in the past life is beyond the power of God.
You should go to Hase and mourn. ”

Along with the oracle, he was given a branch of Sakaki.
When Nobukiyo offered Sakaki at the main hall of Hasedera Temple and prayed wholeheartedly,
A crow appeared and flew away with Sakaki in its mouth.
At the same time, a crow appeared to Nobuchika on his hospital bed and appeared from the affected area.
He plucked out the snake and flew away. After an hour, the illness subsided,
Nobuchika achieved success in life, and Nobukiyo was delighted and thanked him.
It is said that he built the corridor of Hasedera Temple in ten days.

Feeling the overwhelming compassion of the principal image, Eleven-faced Kanzeon Bodhisattva,

I have completed my work “Prayer Isshin”.

This coming July 18th will be a historical turning point for Hasedera Temple, which will celebrate its 1300th anniversary.
A special dedication memorial service for SISYU’s “Prayer Isshin” will be held.
Along with this dedication, we also share the blessings of the principal image with everyone.
Thanks to the kindness of Mr. Hasedera, we are able to share it with you.
Your wishes are also directed to the principal image, the Eleven-faced Kanzeon Bodhisattva.
We are now able to deliver it to you.
