What appeared in her mind were blue lights with mouths, several heads and a dark colored body. It came out from the darkness and came rushing towards her and suddenly “a perfect globe” appeared out of nothing in the empty room. The prestigious monk to whom she talked about the image she saw told her that it was “Naga,” the god with seven heads and one body. In its mouths, it holds “perfect globes.” The globes which the dark colored Naga hold glows blue. “Divine spirits, may protect me, may bless me.” This phrase is chanted to pray for gods in shrines like “Amen” in Christianity. The phrase originates from the Japanese myth. In it, one god manages the land to establish a nation (Japan) with his partner. However, he lost his partner halfway. Difficulties confronted him and he spoke out his feelings. At that time, the horizon started to glow and shining divine spirits approached him from across the ocean. The spirits said they would help his nation-building if he enshrines the spirits. He followed their words and established Japan successfully. Then this phrase was adopted to pray to gods.
